Hi. I'm Julia.
I help smart, motivated people decide what they want to do with their lives. Since 2013, I’ve helped dozens of clients find their way to greater career satisfaction. If you’re feeling stuck, I’d love to do the same for you.
Maybe you're a mid-career professional wanting a better fit or a new graduate in the market for your first job. Maybe you’re looking for a "good-enough gig" to support your other passions, or you're returning to the workplace after some time away. Whatever you’re dealing with, I've probably helped someone in your situation.
I love learning new skills, methodologies, and approaches, which means that my practice is constantly shifting to incorporate new ideas. Besides the coaching tools I started with, I’ve also picked up techniques and teachings from hypnotherapy, tarot, talk therapy, spiritual practices, and energy work. My philosophy is, “If it works, why not use it?”

My Superhero Origin Story
In my mid-twenties, I had a distressing insight: I wasn’t in the right career. There wasn’t anything wrong with it, but it felt like a perfectly good outfit that just didn't fit anymore.
I began my career transition by reading a ton of self-help books and learning the tools I use now. I thought I would use what I learned to help me find a new path, but it turned out that the process itself was what engaged me the most.
I started out working with people who struggle with perfectionism and procrastination. After helping a few clients find jobs they loved, I realized I'd found my sweet spot and never looked back.
Since then, I've worked with dozens of people all over the country, from 23-year-old graduates to 63-year-old near-retirees. My clients come from a wide range of backgrounds, from lawyers and engineers to journalism students and moms returning to work. Their common thread is a desire for work that brings meaning and satisfaction.
How I Work with Clients
I prefer not to hang on to clients indefinitely. Instead, I’ll give you the tools and momentum you need to make significant progress over a relatively short period of time. My initial program term is 1-3 months, after which you can schedule follow-up sessions as needed. Check out your options for support here.
I primarily meet with clients over the phone, which offers convenience and confidentiality. We don’t have to live in the same city or even the same time zone to work together!
I also offer ongoing e-mail support in between our sessions. You’ll cover a lot of ground and learn a lot of tools as you go, and I don’t want you to get stuck or discouraged. I’ll be there to answer all your questions as they come up.
Taking the Next Step
If you’re thinking, “Great! This sounds exactly like what I’m looking for! What happens next?” I invite you to take the next step and schedule a free consultation with me. This call will help you define what you’re looking for, where you’re getting stuck, and what steps to take next. This isn’t a sales call, although I will share information about working with me further if it feels like a fit.
If you’re still in information-gathering mode, that’s cool too. Check out the Article Library for helpful tips on career change, motivation, and getting unstuck. While you’re at it, be sure to grab my free workbook Anatomy of a Dream Job: Bring Clarity and Direction to Your Job Search.
